In the first two years of production, defective cylinder blocks came off the assembly line; cracks in the cooling jacket and antifreeze getting into the oil were common. The manufacturer replaced engines under warranty, but you can still encounter such an engine.
The second most common problem is cracking of the cylinder head due to overheating; you need to carefully monitor the cleanliness of the cooling system radiator. This problem is especially common on engines of the first years of production.
Despite the fact that the plate timing chain is designed for the entire service life of the engine, in reality it often stretches by 150,000 km, and sometimes much earlier. Usually, together with the chain, you have to replace the phase regulator, which doubles the cost of repair.
Also on forums they regularly complain about oil consumption due to stuck piston rings, quickly hardening seals and valve stem seals, and frequent oil leaks. It is advisable to check the thermal clearances of the valves and the condition of the spark plugs every 30,000 km.
