Early engines had a large 'ram's horn' exhaust manifold, but with the transition to Euro 5 standards it was replaced by a modern catalytic converter manifold. Since then, the problem of scoring in cylinders due to catalyst debris has become relevant.
The cylinder block is aluminum with an open cooling jacket and thin liners, which have low rigidity. With active use or regular overheating, cylinders often become oval, leading to progressive oil consumption.
With calm driving, the timing chain lasts a long time and is usually replaced around 200,000 km. But if the driver constantly revs the engine to high RPM, the lifespan halves. Also, due to oil contamination, the hydraulic tensioner often fails and jams.
Briefly about minor problems: the alternator belt often squeals due to a weak tensioner, engine mounts do not last long, oil leaks from under the valve cover are common, and idle speed fluctuates due to dirty fuel injectors or throttle body.
